Looking for a patio grout that’s quick to apply and actually lasts? Patio Grout with GftK Technology is a 1-part paving grout designed for both professionals and competent DIYers. Better still, you can brush it in or pour and squeegee it as a wet slurry — either way it self-compacts into the joints, with no extra tooling or finishing needed.

Why choose this patio grout?

Of course, most brush-in jointing compounds are easy to use but weak in service. However, this one is different. Thanks to GftK technology, it delivers noticeably higher compressive, flexural tensile and cohesive strengths than typical air-drying, 1-part compounds — plus a stronger bond to the paving itself. So you get the convenience of a brush-in grout with far better performance.

  • Fast and easy — brush in or wet-slurry apply, and it self-compacts
  • No tooling or finishing — no pressing, striking or pointing required
  • Clean finish — minimal cleaning, with no oily film or residue left behind
  • Stronger in service — better strength correlation and adhesion than ordinary compounds
  • Ready to use — pre-mixed and vacuum-sealed inside the pail; nothing to measure or mix

Where to use this paving grout

  • Garden patios, pathways and terraces
  • Natural stone and concrete paving of most types
  • Smaller formats — setts, cobbles and brick pavers
  • Larger formats — slabs and flags
  • Domestic paving with pedestrian traffic
  • Both new paving and repointing projects

However, for heavier duty work — driveways, commercial areas or anywhere taking vehicles — use our epoxy joint mortars instead: GftK vdw 850+ for wider joints, or GftK vdw 815+ for narrow joints on porcelain.

Brush in or wet-slurry apply — your choice

Many patio grouts only work one way. In contrast, this one gives you both options. Brushing in suits smaller areas and tighter access. Meanwhile, wet-slurry application is faster across larger patios, and gives the most complete self-compaction into the joints. In both cases, you get a clean surface with minimal washing off.

Using it as a patio pointing mix for repointing

In fact, Patio Grout works just as well for repointing an existing patio as it does on new paving. For the best result, clean the paving thoroughly first — our paving cleaners remove dirt, algae, blackspot and old residues so the new grout bonds properly. After that, once the joints have hardened and fully cured (a minimum of 28 days), you can apply a paving sealer to reduce future staining and make cleaning easier.

Colours

Available in four colours to suit your paving: Natural, Stone Grey, Silver Grey and Basalt. Also, all are fully homogeneous and pre-mixed, supplied in a vacuum-sealed bag inside a sturdy 15kg pail.

What is the best patio grout?

For domestic patios with pedestrian traffic, a quality 1-part grout like Patio Grout with GftK Technology gives the best balance of easy application and durability. However, for driveways, commercial areas or vehicle traffic, choose a 2-part epoxy joint mortar such as GftK vdw 850+.

Is this a brush in patio grout?

Yes. You can brush it into the joints, or pour and squeegee it as a wet slurry for larger areas. In addition, both methods work, and it self-compacts either way — no tooling or finishing needed.

What joint sizes does it suit?

Joints from 3mm up to 20mm wide, with a depth of 30mm for optimum performance (minimum 25mm where the paving itself is 25mm deep). Similarly, for joints wider than 15mm, use twice the width as the depth.

Can I use it for repointing an existing patio?

Yes — it suits both new paving and repointing. First, clean the paving thoroughly first so the grout bonds properly to the joint sides.

What paving can I use it on?

Most external natural stone and concrete paving, including setts, cobbles and brick pavers as well as larger slabs and flags. For external porcelain, use GftK vdw 815+ instead.

What colours does it come in, and how much do I need?

Four colours — Natural, Stone Grey, Silver Grey and Basalt — supplied in 15kg pails. Coverage depends on your paving and joint sizes, so call us for a quick estimate.
