GftK vdw 800 Paving Joint Mortar

GftK vdw 800 paving joint mortar is designed to be especially suitable for almost all types of small format paving such as natural stone setts and cobbles in all types of paved areas, safely accommodating pedestrian and light to medium vehicular traffic loads, and fulfilling these functions in domestic, commercial and public areas of hard landscaping. GftK vdw 800 is  widely used on patios, driveways, town centres, market squares and commercial areas etc., for paving joints >5mm wide. The mortar is supplied in 2-components including epoxy pre-coated sand to which the hardener and measure amount of water is added and mixed to a fully homogeneous colour and consistence. The freshly mixed mortar is then easily and quickly applied using wet-slurry application techniques across the thoroughly pre-dampened surfaces (so no waiting for paving to dry out after rainfall), by rubber squeegee, where it effectively self-compacts into the joints with the aid of more water from a hose. After an initial few minutes the surfaces are finished with a coconut brush and final rinse with clean water to remove any excess. (Note – the freshly grouted surfaces must be covered and protected if more rain is expected, or alternatively use the latest state-of-the-art GftK vdw 850+ that can even be applied in the pouring rain e.g. when needs must to finish a job and/or get paid!)
GftK vdw 800 reacts, cures, and hardens quickly to provide a tough and durable, good looking paved surface, with no shrinkage cracking and is also suitable for cleaning with high pressure water-jetting, even by mechanical street cleaners and sweepers, plus it is fully resistant to the freeze thaw reactions from exposure to de-icing salts.
